At a glance
This website collects very little personal data. We count visits with a privacy-friendly statistics tool that sets no cookies and stores no personal data. Google Analytics runs only if you allow it in the consent banner. We use no marketing cookies and no third-party embeds. Beyond that, the only personal data we process is what you send us through the contact form, and the technical server logs every website produces.
This notice explains what we process, why, how long we keep it, and the rights you have under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP). It is written in plain language on purpose.

Who is responsible for your data
The controller of personal data processed through this website is:
KCMO Property Partners LLC

What we collect and why
Contact form. When you use the contact form, we receive exactly the fields it contains: your first and last name, your e-mail address, your phone number if you choose to give it, and the message you write. The phone number is optional. We also generate a reference code for your submission and show it to you.
We use this data for one purpose only: to answer you and to prepare the conversation you asked for. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR — taking steps at your request before entering into a contract — and, so far as your request goes beyond that, our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries addressed to us, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Submissions are stored in the website’s own database, which we operate ourselves.
You are not obliged by law or by contract to provide this data. It is, however, needed to act on your request: without your name, e-mail address and message we cannot answer you. The phone number can be left empty, with no consequence other than that we will not have it.
Server logs. Like every website, our server records technical access logs: your IP address, the date and time of the request, the page requested, the referring page, and your browser type. We use these logs to keep the website secure and reliable — for example to detect abuse and diagnose faults. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — our legitimate interest in operating a secure website. We do not use log data to identify visitors or to build profiles.
Visit statistics (Plausible). We use Plausible Analytics to understand, in aggregate, how many people visit this website, which pages they view and roughly where they come from. Plausible sets no cookies, does not store IP addresses or any other personal data, and does not follow visitors across websites. To tell one visit from another within a day it derives a short-lived, anonymised identifier from your IP address and browser; that identifier is discarded after 24 hours and cannot be traced back to you. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — our legitimate interest in knowing whether this website works for its readers. Because nothing is stored on your device and no personal data is retained, no consent is required.
Google Analytics (only with your consent). If you allow it in the consent banner, we also use Google Analytics 4, a service of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Google Analytics sets cookies on your device and records how you use this website — the pages you view, how long you stay, roughly where you are, and which device and browser you use — and sends this data to Google, which compiles it into statistical reports for us. Google Analytics 4 does not record or store your full IP address. Google may process the data on servers in the United States; that transfer relies on Google LLC’s certification under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and, in addition, on the EU standard contractual clauses. The legal basis is your consent, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and § 25(1) of the German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act (TDDDG). You can withdraw your consent at any time under “Cookie settings” at the bottom of any page. Withdrawal stops the measurement from that moment on and removes the Google Analytics cookies we can reach; it does not affect data already collected.
Nothing else. We do not set marketing or tracking cookies, we do not load content from other services, and fonts are served from our own server, so no font provider receives your data.
Cookies
Two kinds of cookies can be set by this website.
A consent cookie named kcmo_consent stores the choice you make in the banner — whether or not you allowed Google Analytics — so that we do not ask you again on every page. It contains only that choice, is set by us alone, and expires after six months. It is strictly necessary for remembering your decision and does not itself require consent.
Google Analytics cookies (named _ga, and _ga_ followed by an identifier) are set only after you allow Google Analytics. They distinguish returning visitors and sessions and expire after up to two years. You can decline them in the banner, or withdraw later under “Cookie settings” at the bottom of the page.
Plausible sets no cookies at all. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings; this website works without them.
How long we keep your data
Form submissions: we keep contact submissions for 24 months after our last exchange with you, unless a longer period is required to establish or perform a contract or to meet a legal obligation. You can ask us to delete your submission earlier at any time.
Server logs: logs are rotated and deleted on a short cycle of 14 days, unless a specific entry must be kept longer to investigate a security incident.
Visit statistics: Plausible keeps only aggregated statistics, which contain no personal data. Google Analytics keeps event-level data for up to 14 months; the aggregated reports derived from it are kept for longer.
Who receives your data
We do not sell personal data and we do not share it for advertising.
The website runs on a server we rent from Hetzner Online GmbH, Gunzenhausen, Germany. The server is located in Nuremberg, Germany, so this website and the database holding your submission are inside the European Union.
Our e-mail is provided by Google (Google Workspace). When you submit the form we send a notification containing your enquiry to our own mailbox, so that message and its contents pass through and are stored on Google’s systems.
Visit statistics are processed for us by Plausible Insights OÜ, Västriku tn 2, 50403 Tartu, Estonia, on servers located in the European Union. Plausible acts as our processor; it discards IP addresses immediately after deriving the anonymised daily identifier described above and stores no personal data.
If you allow Google Analytics, Google Ireland Limited processes the usage data described above as our processor, and Google LLC in the United States may process it under the safeguards described in the section on Google Analytics.
Beyond hosting and e-mail, your data is seen only by the people at KCMO Property Partners LLC who handle your enquiry. We may be required to disclose data to authorities where the law obliges us to.
Access from the United States
KCMO Property Partners LLC is a company based in the United States. Your submission is stored on the server in Germany described above, but our team reads and answers enquiries from the United States, where data protection law differs from the law of your home jurisdiction and where authorities may have access rights that differ from those you are used to.
For visitors in Switzerland: the revised Swiss FADP requires us to name the countries to which personal data is disclosed. Your data is stored in Germany and is accessed by us in the United States.
You can ask us at any time how your data is handled, using the contact details above.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you; have inaccurate data corrected; have your data erased; restrict how we process it; receive the data you gave us in a portable format; and object to processing based on our legitimate interests. Visitors in Switzerland have corresponding rights under the FADP.
To exercise any of these rights, write to us at info@kcmopartners.com. We will respond within one month. Exercising your rights is free of charge.
Complaints
If you believe we have handled your data unlawfully, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority — in particular the authority of the EU member state where you live or work, or, in Switzerland, the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).
We would welcome the chance to resolve any concern directly first, but you are not required to contact us before approaching an authority.
No automated decision-making
We do not use automated decision-making or profiling within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR. Every enquiry is read and answered by a person.
Changes to this notice
We will update this notice when the website or our processing changes. The current version is always available on this page, with the date of the last update shown at the top.
